Mrs. Sorensen graduated from the Memorial University with a Bachelors of Kinesiology and then continued on to the University of Alberta where she completed an after Degree in Education. Since graduating, she has been teaching at Notre Dame.
Mrs. Sorensen is a Red Deer native and graduated from Notre Dame in 2010. Growing up, she was involved in a variety of sports and moved on to play volleyball at Red Deer College and Memorial University. She is very passionate about health and wellness. When she is not teaching, you can find her chasing after her one year old son, in the gym, on the golf course, or trying out new recipes in the kitchen. She coaches with the senior women's volleyball and rugby teams at ND as well as the Queens Volleyball Club in the community.
Mrs. Sorensen loves interacting and making connections with her students. The opportunity to watch them develop into young adults over their three years in high school is truly a gift.
Her favorite quote is: "Sometimes it's not about standing out and being successful but about making a difference in the lives of those around you. I think it's your relationships that you have with others that make your life worth something." (Bretton Bell)
