About

Our school serves approximately 1240 Grade 10 – 12 students and is one of Red Deer’s traditional Catholic high schools. The school is located in the Lancaster subdivision in southeast Red Deer. Our catchment area is all areas within the city limits and we have attracted students from areas around Red Deer including Penhold, Delburne, Innisfail and Sylvan Lake.

Our five focal areas provide a positive learning environment for our students and include:

  • Catholic-Christian development
  • Excellence in academics
  • Development of active citizenship
  • A strong program for career orientation
  • Supporting students to be successful

Parents are viewed as integral partners in the growth and development of each student and are encouraged to be involved in the Catholic education of their children. Our school offers a vibrant extracurricular program with many opportunities for students to develop their talents and offer service-leadership.

We also house a district Advanced Placement program, a Knowledge and Employability program, a Senior Foundations program, a French Immersion program and a Sports Academy program.

There are approximately 90 staff members consisting of teachers, educational assistants, special education program staff, a business manager, office personnel, a computer technologist, library technicians, a day maintenance worker and a day custodian.

We are blessed to work with five parishes which serve the student, staff and parent school population: St. Mary’s Parish (Red Deer), Sacred Heart Parish (Red Deer), St. Vladimir’s Parish (Red Deer), Our Lady of the Assumption (Sylvan Lake) and Our Lady of Peace (Innisfail).
