New Vice-Principal for 2017-2018 school year

We would like to congratulate Kelly Jacobson on being appointed Vice-Principal for the 2017-2018 school year.
Kelly is a University of Alberta graduate. He also received his Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, New Brunswick. Kelly has been with Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools for 18 years as a:
- Teacher at St. Patrick’s Community and St. Thomas Aquinas Middle School
- School counsellor at St. Thomas Aquinas Middle School
- Vice-Principal at St. Teresa of Avila School, St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Catholic School and St. Patrick’s Community School
Kelly was one of three award recipients across Alberta to win the SmarterKids Innovative Use in Technology Award. Kelly’s collaborative approach has led teams in their development of effective co-teaching approaches, as well as implementing Mentorship Programs for beginning teachers.
Kelly received his Graduate Certificate in Catholic School Administration from Newman Theological College in 2015 and is an active member of St. Mary's Parish in the ministry of Eucharistic Minister.
